Dream Crush

When it comes to party games with the girls, this is really the only one I will ever need. In Dream Crush the objective is to guess which crush your friends like best. Over 5 rounds you’ll see these crushes evolve as you learn more of their secrets and there will be a lot of discussion and a lot of laughs. Obviously this is a party game and it’s goal is just to be fun. There is no strategy whatsoever, it is meant to be straight forward and light. For components it’s a bunch of cards and a basic board. If I’m bringing the game somewhere I often just take the cards to save space. The box is a bigger than it needs to be. If they eliminated the board it could easily be sold as a small card game.

The Crush cards are truly something and the cringy feel of it adds to the whole experience.

My only complaint is I wish there was more of it. They have a print out for more score sheets online and I ended up laminating a bunch because we went through them almost immediately. This game gets played a lot so I would definitely welcome new cards for some more replay-ability but I can’t complain because I have definitely gotten my monies worth on this one. It will be permanently in my collection.

Dream Crush is a 2 to 6 player game for ages 14 and up. This game was created by Nick Prueher and published by Mondo games.

Contents

  • 1 Game Board
  • 5 decks of Milestone cards
  • 5 decks of Secret cards
  • 1 deck of Dream Crush cards
  • Scoresheet Pad
  • 3 Crush stands

Setup

Each player takes a score sheet. Write your friends names across the top. The starting player will select three crush cards and place them into Crush stands. The stands will be placed at the top of the game board. Again if you do the love is blind option keep them face down to reveal at the end.

Shuffle each deck of Milestone cards and place one face down on each milestone on the board. Shuffle the decks of secret cards and place one from each deck onto the board in front of the crush face down.

How to Play

You are ready to begin. The game will be played in five rounds, each round after the cards are revealed you’ll write down the crush you like best and guess which crush each player chose. After every one has written down their guesses reveal them to the group and discuss why. This is the best part, there will be some debates. Circle any correct answers, these will represent points. The player with the most points after 5 rounds wins.

By the end of the 5th round you’ll know a lot about the crushes. So someone you might be into in round one could be completely wrong for you by round 5.

I can’t express how much I love this game, It really makes a girls night complete. If you can find it, definitely get pick up a copy.
