These lovely knitted socks were given to me by an acquaintance. She heard from second hand information that I adored a similar pair of socks. A crafter recognizes when someone has an appreciation, not just for the piece but the time and love put into a project. She was not looking for anything in return, not even acknowledgment.  It makes me overjoyed to be a part of the community a crafter is in. Not just a lending an ear to frustration and accomplishments. There is also support, encouragement, kindness, humor and inspiration that can be found there.
